Description
Splish Splash Devil’s Backbone (Pedilanthus tithymaloides) is an upright, bushy, clump forming, succulent shrub with thin, fleshy to woody, zigzagged stems. Evergreen or deciduous, ovate to elliptic, mid green with marbled lighter green leaves.
The plant bears fleshy red bract-cups, to 1/2in long, yellow green at the bases

Environment
Grow Pedilanthus in full sun to partial shade in a very well-drained, sand-based soil. In hot summers, shade is recommended for afternoons and so is moisture. Keep the soil drier in winter.
Take care not to over-water, which can cause rotting. Water sparingly, just enough to make the potting mixture moist.
In spring and summer, water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every month.
